Jamie Pic.jpg

Jamie  French

I am Jamie French, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). My education and experience includes a Bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of Wyoming and a Masters in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. I grew up on a ranch west of Laramie, am married, and have one child. I spend my spare time doing things with my church, metal detecting, rock hounding, exploring, and spending time with our friends and family.

My dedication to mental health stems from my own personal experiences both growing up in a family where some members had mental and physical health issues, and overcoming mental health issues of my own. At the age of 4-years old, I was run over by a road grader on our ranch and was severely injured, resulting in growing up with significant insecurities and physical challenges. Through grace, hard work, and help, I have overcome those and many other personal challenges, resulting in my ability and passion to help others going through difficult life experiences. I felt I had a calling to go into the counseling field which was solidified through my heart for people and a passion for helping them navigate difficult times in their lives.

Working through mental health challenges can be scary and lonely, but I know how much life can change for the better when you get the support you need and take those important steps towards finding peace. Having a counselor that not only listens, but is honest, empathetic, and understanding is important to finding the right mental health professional. You are special and unique which means that I will not use a “cookie-cutter” type technique but rather one that is designed specifically for you, your personality and style, and the most straightforward approach to meeting your goals. I can use a variety and combination of integrated techniques like Faith-Based Counseling, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy and other therapeutic techniques.

I specialize in: • Biblical Counseling • Trauma and PTSD • Marriage, Family, and Relationship • Trauma, Abuse, Insecurity, and Conflict • Anxiety, Depression, Life Changes, Death, Grief, and Anger Management • Women’s Issues • Adolescents

I look forward to meeting you and working through your journey to wellness together.
